Just happened to be looking at various websites in the North London area. As secretary of Cockfosters Probus Club I am always on the lookout for potential speakers for our monthly lunch. People who take an interest in their community and local historians are the fish I want to catch.
Our club works on a shoestring so we are unable to offer cash, but we offer our guest speaker a very nice three course lunch and a drink or two. A talk should be for 20 - 30 minutes with two or three questions. The lunch is on the second Wednesday of each month with about two exceptions. Lunch at 1pm and over by 3.30pm or a few minutes later. Any taker?
