His tennis programme - for both juniors and adults - has started this week and he's got some great offers.

Take a look at the BGTC website for details of times & costs and do give him a call on 07572 415898 if you want to ask any questions.

Hi has anyone actually heard from Nock since the summer? He hasn't responded to many of his customers communications and didn't turn up on the first day of lessons?

L, apologies for the non-reply. My email has been not been working.

Re the coach Nick her has now left the Club & I apologise that this was not communicated properly to everyone.

We have now secured the services of a new coach, James and he will be starting children's coaching from the Friday - 9th December.

Times:

4pm Mini Red - 7 years and under

  • Played on small courts (11m x 5.5m OR 12m x 6m) with short rackets 17” -23” and foam or felt balls that are 75% slower than standard yellow balls
  • The net is at a height of 80cm (in the middle)
  • Players are encouraged to play fun competitions in teams or as individuals with short matches using tiebreak scoring
  • It is like the real game and encourages long rallies the opportunity to play different types of shots

5pm Mini Orange - 8 and 9 year olds

  • Played on an 18m by 6.5m court with 23” to 25” rackets and with orange balls which are 50% slower than a typical yellow ball allowing players to have better control
  • The net is at a height of 80cm (in the middle)
  • It is a great way for players to continue their progress from Mini Tennis Red
  • The courts are bigger than the red stage but still smaller than a full size court allowing the players to develop a rounded game whilst learning a range of techniques and tactics
  • There are team and individual competitions with matches using tiebreak scoring –usually the best of three tiebreaks

6pm Yellow ball - 11+ years

  • Played on a full sized court with compression yellow balls and full size rackets
  • This is the last stage of tennis development and the techniques and skills that have been developed through the stages of mini tennis can now be put into practice.

He will also be running a Saturday morning session (starting 10th December) for Mini-Reds from 9am - 10am.

Adult coaching will start in the New Year.

If you would like to discuss any of these sessions or take advantage of a 1-2-1 session please contact James on 07963 521385.

Best wishes, Jane
