Reviving market gardening in North London - the food strand of the Enfield Experiment

Huge event today at GLA City Hall run by our Administration (Del Goddard as Lead for Regen, also Doug Taylor) with speakers including Rosie Boycott, people from Capel Manor, reps from Growing Communities, school teachers, etc. etc.

It's too long to write about extensively this late at night. Can do if friends are interested. For the moment, a couple of websites give an idea of what we're doing.

Garden Enfield: http://www.enfield.gov.uk/gardenenfieldMS/

Enfield Veg Company: http://www.enfieldveg.co.uk/terms

The ambitions here are huge. Most activities are occurring at the top of the borough but the Bowes Park area is also concerned, if only because we want to include micro-scale guerilla gardening (and allotment and private garden produce) in our supply mix.

Please let me know if you want to discuss. Contact details on the Bowes Labour website.

Hi Alan

We are relaunching Myddleton Road Market this year - remaining quarterly with continued focus on local produce and enterprise. I would love to have some of this Enfield grown produce at the market. Please let me know if there is anyone I can speak to once we have dates set.
