saving Osborne Grove Nursing Home from closure

Haringey's last nursing home for frail elederly people is being closed by the Haringey Cabinet decision of last December, yet the Scrutiny Panel of the Council, relatives of residents, and those who took part in a long consultation exercise have all said this should be paused at very least until the options of future functions for this very well designed and located site are considered. This will now not be until after the May elections, when a different decision is anticipated - to keep the home - and yet the Cabinet is determined to close it down quickly, even at great risk to some very frail people who remain there. They could be faced with two moves now and at the end of life or in an advanced state of dementia this puts them at high rik and is very disturbing to the relatives and their close connection with staff and local setting. I have been helping Michelle Rodda who has now had to take out a legal challenge to hold off this threat to her own mother, and several other residents.

I hope you and others you know can consider helping with even a small donation to the initial legal cost.

Many thanks for any consideration.
