Melanie’s best known for her powerhouse performances on ITV's X Factor 2012, amazing the judges and public with her incredible voice, covering Janis Joplin's 'Cry Baby' and being endorsed by the Janis Joplin Estate. She reached the live shows with mentor Gary Barlow. 

Melanie trained at Queen Margaret University for Music and Drama,
Edinburgh gaining a Diploma in Dramatic Art.

She is now signed to major music company Delirious/Blacksmith,
recording an album and sharing a roster with Sam Smith, Emile Sande
and Disclosure.

Melanie was previously signed to EMI and has recorded and toured with many artists including Pink, The Stereophonics, Kasabian, Norman Cook, Shaun Ryder, Russell Watson, Mark Owen, The Prodigy, Leo Sayer, David Essex, Sheena Easton, The Sugababes, All Saints, Midge Ure, Wet Wet Wet,
She featured on top 40 hits, WiFi  featuring Melanie M. 'Be Without
You' and The Bassheads ‘Who Can Make Me Feel Good?’

Fairy Godmother alongside John Barrowman in Cinderella. She was then nominated for best Baddie in the Panto Awards for her role of Queen Rat in Dick Whittington the next year where she was runner up. TV includes:
Celebrity Juice, This Morning, Taggart, Top of the Pops, Children in Need and the current Disney Junior ad.
