Dowset Club is a social club for adults with learning difficulties. It takes place in Winchmore Hill Methodist Church on Green Lanes every Thursday from 7.00-9.30 p.m. We have been in existence for 50 years and have a well-established club membership. The atmosphere at the club is fun and uplifting, with many of the current volunteers having been at the club for quite some years - I have been a volunteer for 7 years now. We are looking for volunteers to drive a mini-bus to pick up members from their homes, drop them at the Club and then drive them home at the end of the evening - the driver is also welcome to stay at the club throughout the evening if so desired.

This is quite a commitment so would perhaps suit someone who is maybe retired, or who works part time. One of our current drivers is on a course till early next year hence we are a driver short. The work is very rewarding and we also have several outings and social occasions over the course of the year.
