Hi Richard,

I live in the Enfield Borough and I am a member of the over 50s Forum Executive Committee. The lost areas of the Borough and the next door neighbours in Harringay. It is likely that the residents have similar problems. I would like to hear from anyone in the Borough of Harringay in the senior citizen bracket.

Thank you belatedly for the welcome message. What an amazing site, it's as though our neighbourhood at last has a real identity! Great way to connect with the general neighbourhood....  I have a question, I have a room to rent out in my house, is there any facility on your site to do that? Thanks, Clair

Dear Richard,

Thank you for your words of welcome! I am amazed at how many things going on and to see so many active people locally. I was actually interested in Kiln Lane and connections with pottery production in the area when I came across Bowes & Bounds Green......a happy accident. Might meet up on the walk planned for the New River Walk on the 15th May. All the best.....Walter

Hi Richard.  Thanks for the welcome.  I'm very impressed with the site - especially all the info I've picked up about things going on locally I was unaware of - even after 24 years living here.  Just one question - is there anywhere on the site local people can offer items for sale/exchange?  For example, I still have kids' bikes in the shed that haven't been used for years but are in good condition.  Thanks again for a great site.  Alison

Thanks for the welcome RIchard. I come representing the Haringey Timebank (www.haringeytimebank.org.uk) and I hope that through Bowes and Bounds we'll be able to help connect neighbours to share skills and time. Any questions, let me know!

Hi Richard

Thanks for welcoming me onto the website.  I joined after I saw that you kindly posted information about an event we held on the Pymmes Brook, so I thought I'd join myself so I can keep people up to date with what we're up to on the boroughs waterways and get their involvement.

I've just posted a discussion and I'll leave some info about our forthcoming event in Jan (On sat 21st).

Happy Christmas

Aimee

Hi Richard - how prompt!!   Yes, he's the folk musician who plays and calls the dances, and he's a loud singer!

Hi Richard

Many thanks for the welcome to the excellent website!  My husband, Chris, and I plan to come to the carol singing on Sunday.  As new members, we don't want to offend or be thought pushy, but Chris plays the melodeon and would be very happy to accompany the singing if that would be helpful. Perhaps you could let me know?  Hope to see you on Sunday. Regards, Elaine

Thank you Richard. Iam not a "joiner", but just had to join this site.

By the way the application form asks one's age. Being almost 76 years of age I ticked 'Over 60'. Could you not add 'Over 70' to the list? There can be quite a difference in being over 70 to being over 60!

My best wishes to your site, and all who sail in her. Derek D.

Hi there Richard,

Thanks for the warm welcome, and thanks also for taking the time to moderate such a worthwhile site.... I am a CAP trained Money Coach, and we support people who want to gain control of their finances and plan for the future NO MATTER their present circumstances. The three session course is FREE of charge and is the brain child of the award winning charity CAP. This is something I have wanted to be involved in for sometime and is close to my heart. So many of us, myself included, struggle with money issues - and this has been worsened by the present economic situation. But this course is a useful tool to combat this situation - and win. So please help me spread the word. Do not hesitate to contact me if there are any queries. Best Regards, Ike

Thanks for the welcome; sorry about the photos, I thought they were meant to be profile pics of each user so that we can recognise one another in meatspace, but I see that they tend to be of clouds and buildings, no worries.
