On 29th of September 2013, New River celebrated the 400th anniversary of its completion in 1613.

London Film Foundation was commissioned by the London Borough of Enfield and Forty Hall and Estate to work with young people and produce a documentary with an educational pack to celebrate the amazing story of the New River.
