Hi All

I have joined this website to spread the word about a new website that the Enfield police has joined up to. I hope that you don't mind me crashing your forum to tell you about it.
I'm a police officer from Edmonton police station and wanted to try and get the message to as many people in Enfield as possible about the website Owl.co.uk/met which is the link to sign up to.

In summary Owl is a new type of neighbourhood watch which the local police have signed up to along with the Enfield council who have helped fund the project so that the residents of Enfield can now sign up to it. There are 4 different watches that you can join. Neighbourhood watch which is what it says on the tin, being part of a local neighbourhood watch with your fellow residents, theres CCTV watch which allows you to tell the police that you have private CCTV that you give the police permission to use for investigative purposes, so far we have 120 on borough who have signed up to this. We have Dog watch for all the dog walkers to sign up to and will give the police another line of enquiries as we all know dog walkers can often stumble across crimes that are happening there and then so can prove useful to police. And finally there is canal watch which is only really useful if you actually live on one of the few canals in Enfield.

Its a great thing to sign up to and we at the police encourage people living in an Enfield address to do so as its an invaluable website where police can communicate with residents and the residents can communicate back if they have information.

I hope you managed to get to the end of this discussion and i hope to see you on the Owl website soon!

Kind regards

PC Neil Rogers
