'From Tottenham to the Trenches' is a community exhibition co-curated by young volunteers and students from Northumberland Park Community School to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
What’s on?
· Jump on board the London Transport Museum’s restored First World War B-type bus
· Hear pop up performances of original poetry created by young volunteers
· Meet characters from the First World War
· Handle objects and try on replica First World War uniforms with Antiques Roadshow expert Andy Robertshaw
· Find out more about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and London Transport Museum’s Battle Bus project.
You can also take part in Battle Bus inspired free family activities, just drop in between 1.30 - 4pm:
Make your very own Battle Bus – the London bus that went to war.
Create a collage - cut, colour and stick to create your own Battle Bus collage.
