This is a marshalled group cycle that should be safe for families with children. We will cycle from Trinity Gardens (between Trinity Primary School and the Prince pub), around Bounds Green and Bowes before returning to Trinity Gardens. We plan a refreshments break at Hot Milk Café at the halfway point and the Prince will open for refreshments and lunch at the end.
This cycle ride is organised by Haringey Cycling Campaign and Enfield Cycling Campaign, together with Better Streets for Enfield and Haringey Living Streets, to enable cyclists of all ages to explore Bounds Green and Bowes and some of the quieter roads to cycle on.
This is an easy 2 mile ride at a leisurely pace, which should be suitable for less experienced riders. We will proceed at the pace of the slowest riders, so we encourage families with younger riders to be near the front of the ride.
Accompanied sensible children are welcome. The cycle ride will take place on roads among other traffic, it is therefore NOT suitable for very young or unaccompanied children. As much of this ride as possible takes place in parks and on newly quietened roads.
Please register so that you are covered by group insurance.
