Celebrate International Bat Weekend by joining a special evening tour of Trent Park, to experience these amazing mammals in action! Setting out at dusk, you will be led by experts from the North London Bat Group to get a closer look at these fascinating creatures as they hunt in Trent Park. Bat detectors will enable you to hear the ultrasonic echolocation calls they use to navigate and find their insect prey in the dark!
Meet 7:45pm at the main car park near the Cockfosters Road entrance (approx. 9:45pm finish). Bring a torch. No need to book. Distance: no more than 4 miles. The main entrance will be open after the event, so feel free to use the car parking facilities.
If I'm not working, I will go. Since Andrew Hawksworth is involved, I am sure it will be good.
