Forty Hall is about to reopen its doors to the public, almost 400 years after it was first built following a major restoration project.
Join the Housewarming event and be one of the first to marvel at the newly restored Forty Hall & Estate! The Hall will be officially opened to the public with timed introductory tours around the building led by a costumed guide, offering you the chance to see the changes and view the permanent exhibition.
Tour times:
From 10am, every 15 minutes until 4:45pm
Free admission. Booking for the tours essential.
Each tour will last approximately 20-25 minutes and it will be a busy day in the Hall.
On the reopening weekend the estate will also come alive with an array of music performances on the front lawn, dance acts on the back lawn and large-scale 16th and 17th century games taking place underneath the shelter of the magnificent Cedar of Lebanon. Try your hand at chess, ‘Goose’, mingle with characters from the 17th century and remember to bring a picnic for what promises to be a fun family day!
