Event Description

Meet 11.00 Bounds Green tube station. You may like to bring a packed lunch, alternatively you can eat at the end.

Get Piccadilly line to Hammersmith for a leisurely two and a half mile walk along the historical riverside where we will see several points of interest including William Morris' house, several grand Georgian mansions, old pubs, some with ghosts and murders.  We will see St. Nicholas Church where the Hogarth family are buried, then a visit to Hogarth's house (free admission),
then through the grounds of Chiswick House, where there are a café and toilet facilities.

As all the pubs offer rather expensive menus, it is suggested we do the whole walk and finish at the café at Chiswick House around 2pm - hence the early start.

Leader - Clive Allen. mob 078876150845
