Event Description
This recently formed band is an exciting collaborative project between Alex and Steve and also Matt Fishwick(drums), John Turville (piano) and Mick Coady (bass).
The band plays arrangements of Jazz Standards by the group and frequently explores the music of Kenny Dorham/ Joe Henderson, John Coltrane and Lennie Tristano/ Warne Marsh. Over time the band will start to play some music of Alex’s written specifically for this ensemble.
This is a very exciting project and there is a fantastic synergy amongst all members of the band which makes for very entertaining, stylish and nuanced modern jazz.
