Two MPs are set to host talks with a rail company after a spate of delays and issues.
In September, Govia took over First Capital Connect services on the overground line from Hertford North, which stops at several stations in the borough of Enfield including Enfield Chase, Winchmore Hill and Palmers Green.
But commuters are still disappointed as investment was promised in the line, yet delays and cancellations continue to plague services.
Enfield North MP Nick de Bois and Enfield Southgate MP will host the meeting between the train provider and commuters at St Mary Magdalene Church hall, in Windmill Hill on Friday, January 23, at 7.30pm.
Mr de Bois said: “Since Govia took over from FCC in September improvement to some services have not been evident because of staff shortages causing delays and cancellations – I have organised this meeting so that commuters have the opportunity to have their say directly to Govia and to listen to what Govia are going to do about it. It’s also a chance to find out about the promised investment in new trains and improved timetabling.”
Haringey Commuters welcome
Mary Magdalene Church is at the junction of Windmill Hill with The Ridgeway and has public transport links by means of Bus Routes 121, 307 and 313 that stop closeby. There is on street parking on The Ridgeway
