Event Description
Nick Dow has been singing traditional folk songs for over forty years, setting his warm, mellow voice to deft accompaniment on guitar. Every song Nick sings has a story attached to it, and his gigs are as informative as they are entertaining. His lasting influence on the folk scene was proven when award-winning musician Jim Moray included a song learned from Nick’s singing on his latest album. Acknowledged experts on West Country folk songs, Nick and his wife Mally have collected over 300 songs in Dorset, Lancashire and Essex.
