Christ Church Southgate and the Minchenden Oak Garden form part of Open House London.

Explore our fine Grade II* listed church, designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the early English architectural style. Absorb the detail in our collection of beautiful Pre-Raphaelite stained glass windows spanning 50 years of output from the studio of William Morris & Company, including designs by Burne Jones, Philip Webb and Rossetti, including a unique “self portrait” of William Morris himself.

After touring the church, please visit The Minchenden Oak Garden, next to the church, which contains one of the country’s oldest tress – an ancient pollarded oak more than 800 years old.

The weekend will conclude with a special service of Choral Evensong at 6.30pm on Sunday. All are welcome to attend – budding choristers can “Come and Sing”.

In 2015 we celebrate our 400th Anniversary - the Weld Chapel, the precursor to our current building, was consecrated in May 1615.
