The objective of this course is to translate the Chinese New Year Food culture in a team building environment.

You will be involved in preparing and cooking an 8-course Chinese New Year Banquet. The training environment will be fully participative, competitive as well as collaborative, and above all, it will be ‘Fun’.

Finally, you will be enjoying the banquet you prepare, accompanied by a glass of wine whilst we give you feedback and receive yours.

Tutors:

Jean Tsang MBA (Middlesex University)
- A dynamic and innovative person with over 25 years of managerial experience of which 11years gained in Personnel Management follow by a move into General Management in the travel industry. Confident in dealing with Chinese and English businesses and with all levels of businesses and bureaucracy. Experienced in arranging gourmet tour to China, conference, seminar, and sports competitions. Skilled in facilitating both British and Chinese companies to explore and identify inward and outward investment opportunities.

Jo Lee DMS (Oxford Brookes), FMAAT, MBII
- A catering professional since 1988, Jo has project managed the planning, building and start up of four restaurants. Currently, Jo is the director of Eurasia Restaurant, Hurst Green, East Sussex. Jo has made Eurasia 'unique' by having a repertoire of dishes, designed by herself, translated from the family 'Nonya' recipes. Eurasia was mentioned in Time-Out, the Saturday Observer and also was once a winner in the Pub Food Award. Jo had taught 'Chinese Cookery' in Adult Education in the 1980s. A brief resume of Jo's working experience:
- Ten years in local government finance, working as Committee Accountant and Internal Auditor
- Six years in the Banking industry as Senior Financial Controller, Quality Facilitator and Business Analyst
- Twenty three years in the Catering industry, a personal license holder, and relevant food hygiene certificates and coaching course.
