A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
This year sees the first ever Wood Green Literary Festival. Running from Friday October 11th until Sunday October 13th, the theme of Festival is “London: a celebration of the Capital.”
The events will be held in various locations on and around the High Road and will surprise, delight, excite and inspire you.
So what’s the festival about? Well, it aims to bring together a community of literature lovers whilst paying tribute to the nation’s capital. The roster of authors, all of whom are astonishingly talented, are also linked by the city lovingly deemed ‘The Big Smoke’ and will be talking on its inspirational nature and their work, both to date and upcoming.
As with our city, inclusivity is the name of the game, as the events in the festival range from exciting adventures to get youngsters into reading to tantalizingly clever happenings for the veteran enthusiast. The very names of the events intrigue – ever heard of a Literary Death Match? Find out what one is here, you won’t be disappointed… Contests, debate, and entertainment - it’s all kicking off in North London.
So come one, come all, we have some celebrating to do!
