£20,000 grants available for communities who want to improve their high streets

My editor reported on a new GLA fund to help London's high streets today.

One for the I Love Myddleton Road group to consider? Extract:

While the High Street Fund creates some exciting funding potential for boroughs, what’s more interesting is that community groups — and even individuals — can apply for grants of up to £20,000 through a dedicated Kickstarter-style website. Worth noting is that all these small-scale grants need to attract other funding of at least 25 per cent, so they can’t be fully-funded through the GLA cash.

Thanks for posting this Lindsey - we will look into it as seems like a great potential opportunity for Myddleton Road. Will keep you posted!

Thanks for spotting this - looks like a great opportunity. We will certainly explore it further, and I know Clare has already asked the Council if they intend to apply for funding on our behalf.

But we can also apply as a community group - so any ideas from the community about what they think could improve Myddleton Road then they should let us know.

Add them to this post or come to our next We Love Myddleton Road meeting (details to follow on the events pages of B&B).

Thanks

Toby (We Love Myddleton Road)
