Thanks so much to everyone who came along to the Step on Wednesday to the first Bowes and Bounds Social evening ... and thanks to the staff at the always excellent Step for their welcome.

It was really good to see so many people - and meet in "real life" people who had previously only been online connections.

I think there was a feeling that people want to have more of these get-togethers so we'll plan another in the spring.

A few conversations throughout the evening suggested that themed events might be another idea, Cinema trips, Music evenings, Art exhibitions etc - please do get in touch (or leave a message below) if you have ideas or if you'd like to organise future social activity.

Other discussions were about the stuff we publish - we could always have more content on the site ... it just needs someone to contribute. Its easy to put up a one-off story for the site and if you would like to be involved in producing regular information for the website - as restaurant critic, kids activities and outings, events listing co-ordinator, art critic etc. reply by email or comment below.
