What do people think about the idea of setting up a local skills swap, a bit like the LETS scheme? People could offer skills that they are good at, in return for jobs that they don't feel confident doing. I'm in the process of a full renovation of my second house in the area (£20,000 so far and counting) but have run out of money and am frustrated at not being able to move ahead, so it would certainly help me. For example, I can decorate (paint and hang lining paper and patterned wallpaper) and make curtains and simple cushion covers,  but I'm not confident about my skills with an electric drill and would love someone to put up some blinds and shelves for me. If anyone is interested, maybe we could fix a meeting at Onetwoeight to talk further?
