Has the coat still got a dry cleaning label inside attached to it? In addition to the coat you need to take some information with you:

What was spilt on the coat? ;the name of the material from which the coat is made and the name and address of the dry cleaning company you used previously so that Ahmet can identify what fluid they have used. 

The coat may have been irrevocably damaged It could end up with holes

Sorry to appear to be sexist, but like a LADIES hairdresser did the dry cleaner do a patch test? Did they use fresh fluid or was it mixed with other clothing....like putting coloureds is a white wash?

Thanks so much for your detailed reply Donald. On the advice of some neighbours I took the coat to Palace Gates Dry Cleaners, Palace Gates Road N22. They did a great job, and the coat looks nearly as good as new.
