There was a sad sight on Myddleton Road today, Roots the Rasta guitar player and singer was evicted from his flat at no 83, owned by Mr Shengaris, where he has lived for a long time.  All Roots' possessions were on the pavement, and he was very distressed.  It is a shame that the two policewomen there helping the eviction had no powers to obtain the sort of help that Roots needed today.

Roots has been a well-known local character for many years now.  Here is a photo of him in happier days busking at the Community Garden Picnic in 2008.
