recent news story in the Guardian revealed "One in six GP surgeries in England is at risk of offering patients poor care"  a story which, in classic journalist fashion, ignores the corollary that the overwhelming majority of GP practices offer good care.

The story covered the publication of data from the Care Quality Commission which has assessed all 7,661 GP surgeries in England. It's a sort of OFSTED for doctors

Whilst a small proportion (16%) gave cause for concern, much of this was about management and administration - for example getting an appointment when you want one- rather than medical care.
