Hi

Just noticed that Lefteris bakery on green lanes has had a very tasteful update. Nice wood sign, low lighting wouldn't look out of place in Highgate!

Good on them. Good bread too and open very early if you need to pick up a loaf before work.

I passed this yesterday, it does look extremely smart!

It really does. And they're now on Twitter and plan to start opening on Sundays :)

It's a real gem now. Their pasties are great! All they need now are a couple of tables and chairs and a good coffee machine...

Just heard from Lefteris on Twitter (@LefterisBakery) that they already have the coffee machine in place and tables and chairs will follow! Great news - a good cafe is long overdue at our end of Green Lanes.

And I love that they've kept the Victorian shop front and the original facias under their new facia.

Table and chairs have arrived, although I don't think they're yet being used for cafe service. Great to see them open on Sundays, and bustling!

Good news! Looking forward to trying out their coffee.

Great coffee and pleasant window seats. We ordered a red velvet cake for Christmas which was delicious - freshly baked to order that morning and a generous size. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff and an increasing range of tempting goods. The multi-seed wholegrain bread is a very welcome addition. Biscuits are recommended and make very good gifts. All in all a very welcome addition to Green Lanes, Theresa

We love their new spelt loaf. And their pizza slices are also amazing!! When you can get them ;-)

Lefteris Bakery now have sour-dough bread, french sticks, croissant and pain au chocolat. Their range just gets better and better! Theresa

I even spotted a couple of young Hipster types sitting in there the other day with their square glasses/ipads/beards.
