Local teenager Joe, who goes to APS, is doing his Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteer project improving our area.  For the last three months Joe has been regularly litter-picking some of the local streets, parks and along the New River Path.  Last week he joined me to clear the Path to Palmers Green.  Here is a photo of Joe and the three sacks of recycling and the 3 of general waste we took to the top of the steps for Enfield Council to collect.  We also fished out two bikes, but were unable to get another two and a heavy wheelbarrow.  Passers by thanked us for doing the clear up, and I am sure that many local residents join me to say Thank You Joe and good luck with the rest of your DoE Award!
