Just back from a stroll along the road. Well! It is beginning to feel different; on the cusp of some change. The Greek deli, as reported, has some great stuff and very good value. I spoke to the woman in La Coppia and she said that they will be opening next Friday and Saturday from 3pm onwards for 'tastings'. A very encouraging looking coffee machine.

It is an exciting time for the road and the area. A new wave of people and energy are storming in via the We Love Myddleton Road group and it is such a pleasure to see a whole new group of people so committed to making this vibrant community even better.

As I strolled on, I thought about all the changes that had happened and I wanted to just say a big thank you to the councillors and particularly to Matt Cooke as he is stepping down this May. He has been instrumental in helping to get so many improvements in the road from paving and lighting to the heritage funding, 128, the  gym and gardens. I know that there are many frustrations with the pace of change and particularly with planning and enforcement but many people at the council have worked hard to help over the last 15 years-that long!

There is still much to do and an ever vigilant eye needs to be kept on planning-both those applied for and buildings and additions that just suddenly appear. We Love Myddleton Road is bringing together partnerships, relationships and action with renewed zest. There is much to celebrate.
