Shaftesbury Hall "Tin Tabernacle" rebuilding: how you can help

We have written several times before about the plans by North London Samaritans to refurbish Shaftesbury Hall, our local "Tin Tabernacle". Now there is a simple and practical way you can support the rebuilding of this local landmark - helping to create much needed community space in our neighbourhood

The Aviva insurance company - through their Community Fund are helping projects across the country to secure funding for an important cause in their local community.

The website lists some inspiring and impressive projects - but to go through to the finals each project needs to demonstrate support and generate enough votes from friends, family and supporters to progress to the Finals, where a judging panel will award the funds.

Shaftesbury Hall, our local "Tin Tabernacle" is one of the competing projects, so the more people who vote, the more likely they are to win up to £25,000.

Each person who votes is allowed up to 10 votes and can distribute them amongst any of the worthy projects - but obviously we would encourage you to give them all to Shaftesbury Hall.

Follow this link to vote and pass this on to everyone you know and ask them to help tooI. It really only takes a few seconds to complete. As well as supporting the bid for money from Aviva  local people can also contribute online directly to the rebuilding work via the Shaftesbury Hall Just Giving page

Done! And shared on Facebook. I've offered to run yoga classes once a month and give all the money donated to help with the fundraising. I just need a nice, big space so lots of people can come. Anyone have any connections to large halls we can use???
