There is a planning application in to make a new building on part of the beer garden of the Springfield Tavern, Bounds Green Road, on the corner of Park Road.

The Beer Garden is great for families with children, sitting in on a sunny day, peace and quiet from the football, and for those who still smoke.  Don't let us lose it.

The new building will cover 5 metres from the boundary of the terrace in Park Road. This will eat half the beer garden. There will be a wall two storeys high plus a pitched roof at the side – so there will be no sun and little light.

The building will reach to the stick propped up on wall to the left of the street lamp.

If you want to object to this application, write to the Council, or go on-line to the planning webpage and give your objection.

The application number is: HGY/2016/2534
