Hi Toby,

He did a small alteration for me when we first moved here some years ago - I think it was hemming some trousers.  He did a great job but because he wouldn't take any money from me I didn't feel able to go back to him.  I have always gone to Altered States on the other side of the street for alterations - they are very good and reasonably priced.  They always look a bit surprised when I walk in so I think they mainly do bulk work/large orders but they've never refused a job and it is always excellent work.  I hope this helps.

 Yes have had suits made there and he is excellent.  He's been there many years (got priced out of central London I think he told me) and is indeed a great old-fashioned tailor!

Would like to be able to recommend him as want to see local business doing well but when I tried to take a suit to be altered he recommended the dry cleaners over the road.

I've taken all my clothing alterations and repairs to the dry cleaners. Never had any problems with him. Very reasonably priced, does a prodessional job every time. Great value for duvet cleaning too!
