We are constantly being told to do our bit for our community and when we do try there are people at the top in councils that are very unhelpful I have made a few suggestions to use spaces not in use in our areas for sport activities as a lot of people do not have huge spaces at home to put in a gym or they cannot afford to pay to go to a gym, it's all well and good wanting to spend a bit of money from your own pocket and plant seeds to beautify the areas, but it does not look like the council does not want to co-operate with us to spend money to encourage people to enjoy their leisure activities, we are told by health establishments that we have a lot of people that are overweight and obese and they need to get out and workout, we have a huge park called Woodside Park with nothing in it apart form a children's playground and that's about it, I have emailed people to install tennis courts, table tennis, community gym equipments etc, but has unfortunately i has fallen on deaf ears which does not surprise me with the council, I do wonder what those that work in regeneration or community departments do all day if not make good for our areas.

It just such a shame that we in this country cannot do more for our people, communities and areas, and are supposed to be a rich country considering other people from other countries have moved here and pay their taxes it is more richer then it has ever been, I just wished our local authorities showed us they cared, we cannot do everything on our own as there is only so little authority we have to make things happen.
