Dear Friends and Community Members,

Earlier in the year, I had posted a call for help in support  of two projects toward the upkeep of our community garden in Myddleton Road.

I am delighted to report that we have now received some fantastic feedback from several members. Our warmest thanks goes to local resident and gardner Dane who has agreed to provide his services with the hedge cutting.  Some of us will be meeting on 9 February at 11am to support Dane with the work.

We are delighted to recommend Dane, local resident and gardener.   You can find his contact details on Bowes & Bounds Connected.

The Second Project - An Arts Project to add a new Mosiac in the Garden is also underway.  Local Mosiac Artist Miranda is currently designing a Bumblebee.    We are currently fundraising for the project.

The wonderful Nell and Matt at THE STEP have already come forward and a Book SWAP has started.  Please lend your support to the BOOK SWAP scheme.  Thank you for your support.

If anyone is interested in sponsoring a section of the Mosiac, we would be delighted to hear from you.  Donations from £10 onwards and we need to raise about £200 for the project.  Thank you for your support, and stay tuned for more news.

Hi Asha,

With my Barnardos hat, I had a meeting with Kew Gardens today. They have won some Big Lottery funding and keen to support local communities and their 'green projects'. There is also some small funds you can access and they are hoping to send out as many seed boxes with wild flower seeds to anyone up for planting! If interested let me know and I can forward my contacts details.
