Today the phone box on the corner of Ireland Place and Whittington Road was taken away.

The end of an era!

Well ...... perhaps the era of the phone box went some years ago, as this one has really only been an emergency loo and a drug-dealing facility in recent years.  

Even so, I was sad to see it go, though I don't think I have ever used it and it wasn't a 'heritage ' phone box.  

A little bit of history gone now.
