Albert Road Recreation Ground on Durnsford Rd is a wonderfully well-used sports facility with a community cafe.

There’s now a new project to regenerate the old Bowling Green and Hut, (hidden behind a hedge at the back of the Pavilion) and give it a new lease of life. Not as an old-fashioned bowls club but instead Bare-foot Bowling, BBQ & Beer – a facility with no dress code and open to all. In the long run we plan to give the bowling green an all weather…
