A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
Anyone interested in starting running at a mid morningish or afternoonish time during the week? Probably Aly Paly - nearest park. Broomfield also possibility. I've never run before but am fit (gym, swim, etc) so need to build up stamina.

Permalink Reply by Donald Smith on April 4, 2016 at 17:36 It is not MY walking group. They group(s) walk around the perimeter inside of the park. The group usually breaks up into faster and slower groups depends on how much socialising people want to do

Hi Rose,
thanks for this suggestion. As an over 60 myself I am interested in start up activities in the area. Not sure if I can do jogging - maybe power walking - but I am reasonably fit. I do lots of walking in Wales.
Permalink Reply by rose robert on April 5, 2016 at 13:47 Thanks for the message. I already 'power walk' a lot on the treadmill at the gym (not the same as being out) and i am definitely looking to start running. Will prob go out on my own!
