There is an application in with Haringey to demolish a perfectly good and distinctive large family home at the above site and build a block of flats.   This would impact on the street in a number of ways.    I attach the link to the planning proposal so if you live in Maidstone Road or nearby please have a look and object if you feel it should not go ahead.

We live next door to the proposed development and it is awful. They are proposing 10 flats,8 of which replacing the house,2 at the back of the garden, parking spaces in the middle of the garden. The house is lovely, with history and character.Shame if Haringey lets them demolished it.Please have a look at the planning application and make a comment. The planning application number is HGY/2016/1430.Half of Maidstone Road is already aware and people have expressed interest on commenting but we need a lot of support.

The house has been bought by a foreign investor that does not care about local community, history and anything of sort. Please, please, please comment. The dead line for comments is 09.06.2016

Haringey never gives enough time for those things.

Hi Tsveta - To demolish  a lovely family home and garden is shocking and the proposed development is awful.   You have our support and I have commented on the Haringey planning website.

Thank you ever so much.Hopefully more people will comment. We need all the support we can get because what they want to do to this lovely house is awful.

You have my support and I will also comment on the Haringey planning application website. Heart breaking to DESTRUCT such a solid family home/property all for financial gain.

Thank you.Its so helpful and we are very greatful.

I agree most strongly .The proposed build does not fit in with the character of the street at all.once the house is demolished the historical aesthetic of our street will vanish. As we see with other out of context new builds in the area. Surely the idea in the 21st century should be to conserve our historic buildings and not build on existing gardens in a 'land grabbing ,get rich quick 'exercise.
