Hi guys, just a little reminder to be vigilant of your belongings. Bowes Park is a lovely neighbourhood but not without its share of criminals. Just witnessed a man snatch a purse from the front seat of a lady's car while she loaded her kids in, outside Bowes Park nursery. Witnesses managed to chase down the crackhead* and though he got away, thankfully the bag was returned. And the police managed to get good CCTV from the nursery, so maybe if they catch him they'll get a conviction. But it pays to be super vigilant and not leave handbags / easily nickable things in view at any time.

Also worth noting that although we do have some criminal scumbags around, at least 2 ordinary guys dropped what they were doing and tackled the criminal.

*he may not have actually been a crackhead. But he looked like one.
