The new CPZ that is being put into the Nightingale/Truro/Clarence Road area has apparently been resheduled.  There are signs on the lamposts saying it will start on 23rd January but it has been put back till  6th February 2016 .  I don't think any residents have been informed but if you are buying Parking permits don't start them until 6th Feb.  Several people had tried to buy permits online but it is not working effectively.   You can take the documents down to Wood Green Library and get it processed there  -  this is not mentioned on the website.

Thank you, Kate. I *almost* bought a permit for another zone...that would have been fun....

Thanks for raising this Kate. We have raised these issues with officers and make sure that residents aren't disadvantaged.

Just to update. Firstly this new CPZ isn't part of an existing CPZ as is suggested in the title of the thread, and is therefore distinct from the existing Bounds Green CPZ. This new CPZ is Bounds Green East CPZ.

The delay in implementation is down to the weather and to the Christmas break.

I'm really cross about this. I'm resident in the new CPZ and followed the instructions in the letter sent out in December. I'm one of the "lucky" ones who received a permit (my husband still hasn't, and we applied and paid on the same day). However my permit is from 23 Jan and not the delayed date so I've paid for the extra two weeks. I've raised a complaint to get a replacement permit issued from the new date but given they appear to be overwhelmed by applications I'm not holding my breath. I'm also annoyed that there are still signs up with different dates (23 Jan on Shropshire Road, 6 Feb on Myddleton Road). It's a simple thing to get the signs right if they aren't going to send out letters to residents to inform them of the change. Can you raise this issue again please Joanna?

Yes I will do.

Can you or any other affected resident contact me at my council email address with some details such as your home address? My email address is Joanna.christophides@haringey.gov.uk.

Thanks Joanna - I've sent you an email. Let me know if you need any further details.

I've tried to apply many times online in December and January and had so many issues and error messages - either the permit is not available for the property or I can't transfer to the payment system. Unfortunately no resolution from Haringey and no response to my latest email on the 14th. I haven't had a chance to get down there in person so whether I get it sorted in time is a bit of a gamble!

Sounds absolutely awful.

Pleased to say that when I managed to get to speak to someone they sorted it out for me and I should now have a resident's permit and visitors vouchers on the way. It looks like I wasn't set up properly so not sure I ever would have been able to do it online. Anyway, they were very helpful on the phone (if you have the time to sit and wait in the queue!)

What time of day did you call Sophie? I never even manage to get in a queue, let alone sit on it!
