Anniversary of the First Cash Machine - an Enfield claim to fame.
Today - June 27th marks the anniversary of the UK's first bank cash dispenser originally piloted in a pioneering 'robot-bank' scheme just up the road at at Barclays in Enfield Town.
The scheme had a star-studded, high-profile celebrity launch -
by Reg Varney, star of 'On the Buses'.
A blue plaque -put up by Barclays - marks the site of the auspicious occasion!
