Hello Night Owl Steve (your 1.41am posting)

I used a guy Chris Marten (0208 801 7153, 07932 020814, chrismarten@talktalk.net - he lives nearby - Tottenham I believe) who is recommended on Bowes Park Community Association's website.  He charges around £40 an hour but is very thorough - he was quickly able to rectify my problem (Windows wouldn't launch) and then working for each and every of the remaining minutes in the hour.   He also installed some useful software for free to get rid of "gremlins" (you can scan from time to time).  I added an endorsement to the recommendation on the Bowes Park site on the basis of the good service he provided to me.   He's worth a try and I imagine could tell you if he can assist with your wireless connection problem.

Hi Steven

I had a similar problem a couple of months ago... We contacted Bob who was reccomended in the Haringey Families newsletter. Contact 07956 420808 or computeraid@blueyonder.co.uk and he sorted out our home hub.

In the end we changed service providers from BT to Virgin Media which has resulted in a vastly improved wireless connection.

Hi All

I'm with TalkTalk and don't usually have any wirless connection problems. I re-configured the router settings and it's now working. Thanks for your recomendations. I'll keep a note of them just in case!
