In a delightful item over on Pete Berthoud's Discovering London Blog  we learn of the legend of "Ovi" -  the  Egg-Eating dinosaur of Bowes Park.

Whilst his precise location is not revealed dinosaur hunters are directed to visit Myddleton Road ... and look up.

In his excellent  article Pete Berthoud discloses details of the mythical beast and  mentions that the "tight-knit, and very tight-lipped, denizens of Bowes Park have managed to keep Ovi’s location a virtual secret for over 100 years." However he reveals that a local resident, identified only as "K", has let slip the location!

Do you know where this gloriously quirky landmark lives? ... and do you know who spilled the beans?

Can we expect bus-loads of Dinosaur hunters flocking to Myddleton Road to seek out the terracotta terror!

Please read Pete Berthoud's blog post in all its daft glory by following this link.

I love it that Myddleton Road is in "a trendy North London suburb".

There is a sighting here: http://g.co/maps/4q28d
