We have had several previous discussions on this forum about Shaftesbury Hall - The Tin Tabernacle - on Herbert Road and plans for its future use.

The new  plans for redevelopment as a community space have now been submitted by North London Samaritans and are available to view on the LB Haringey website.

Comments on the proposals can be made  - and it's equally important to submit comments in support of new developments as it is to oppose planning application that are not welcome.

It's great to see the exciting vision for this iconic local building - the image here is an architects' photomontage indicating how the finished project will look. Comments to Haringey by November 1st.

An item published on the North London Samaritans Facebook Page today announces that planning permission to redevelop Shaftesbury Hall has been granted:

We are delighted to announce that we have been given planning permission for Shaftesbury Hall. Now all we need to do is raise the money. If anyone has any ideas/contacts/wishes to give us a cheque, please get in touch.
