We've tried quite a few local pizza places and chain delivery services but Napoli Pizza on Palace Gates Road is now our firm favourite, almost as good as our favourite Soho pizza place. They don't appear to have a website but we had a leaflet through the door and rung directly and also ordered through Just Eat.

There are loads of places to get pizza round our way, what's your favourite?

Ours is Il Sole d'Oro in Palmers Green. Delicious - from a wood oven too.

There is a new Pizzeria on  167 Bowes Rd

It is called Pizzeria Volare and the Pizzas are excellent (All the trappings of the best Pizzas in London. Charred base, crisp with a chewy crust  and cooked in a Wood Fired Oven. )

Very charming staff who conversed with my baby and made me feel at home.

I'd say Bowes Park has actually got one over on the Muswell Hill and Crouch end lot!

Recommended and a definite improvement to the strip hope they do well.

Just visited this place- pizzeria volare- tonight. This is seriously good pizza! And wonderful service. Beats any pizza I've tried in muswell hill or crouchend, and I can assure you there have been a few

I agree Marie, Pizza Volare is a great addition to the local scene and well deserves a visit, they serve great pizzas and if we don't patronise these local businesses and spend our money in the chains instead then they'll disappear

I am not sure i'd be too keen to eat in any establishment located right on the north circular

wonderful thanks for letting us know about the pizza place.  We will try it out.  Good to know that more excellent businesses are braving the north circular.  Just come back from the winter fair in MR.  Such great enthusiasm from the people in the shops who are so friendly and willing to chat.  It just gets better and better.

The winter fair was lovely. i was in our new local gym, and it was great to watch all the buzz outside. had a wander afterwards, great food and xmas presents. enjoy the pizza when you get there!

It's not the best location, I agree, but they are indoors, it seems very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful and will adjust the pizza toppings to your needs (I had to order one without cheese for a vegan friend, and they substituted a sauce without hesitation). The pizzas are excellent, very reasonably priced, and no matter the location, it's good to be patronising a local business and not a chain.  It has a lovely atmosphere and I really would urge you to try it.

I usually order from Basilico in Crouch End but will try some of these recommendations! :)

Just tried Pizza Volare for the first time. Huge, delicious wood-oven pizzas, mouthwatering insalata tricolore. Great value for money - and lovely Latin American music too, reflecting their half Italian, half Argentinian heritage.

Went to Pizzeria Volare on Saturday, very nice, friendly service, not the greatest location but they were busy. Will  visit again.

Just visited Pizza Volare.  Wonderful to have people coming to our community who want to make such a positive contribution.  Really great atmosphere and the food was delicious.
