Event Description

Local Blues Legends - the Low Down Dogs are debuting at this exciting new live music venue.
The Pavilion Cafe in Albert Road Recreation Ground, up from Bounds Green just past the Sunshine Garden Centre, has long been at the heart of the community for day time teas and coffee along with the best tennis and multi sports coaching in North London.

The owner, Robbie Sukdeho has recently opened up the inside and made the place into a terrific music venue with licensed bar.

Hosting mainly jazz so far this is the first venture into the Blues, kicked off on Thursday 28th January at 8.00pm by the Low Down Dogs and friends.

A discerning band of musicians, the Low Down Dogs have considerable pedigree in the Blues and feature the sublime vocals, slide guitar and harmonica work of 'Mad Dog' Dave Barnes along with John Crowther's vocals, and top drawer guitar and mandolin skills. The rhythm section sees Dave Thomas on bass, guitar and vocals and, Pete Abernethy on drums, other percussion and backing vocals. Expect a lively and entertaining evening of Blues ranging from the Mississippi Delta to the New River Delta via Texas, Memphis and Chicago.

Admission is just £5.00, easy parking in Durnsford Road.
