Our first knitting drop-in with Amy Wear of Weardowney Knitwear was such a success that we’re making it a regular event at The Step!

It’s a fun evening of knitting, chatting and drinking for new knitters or dab hands. You can bring along a project you’ve already started or use it as an excuse to begin something new and Amy will advise as required. Pop in for as long as you like, meet new local friends and knit something pretty in time for Christmas! We’ll be hosting the drop-in every other Wednesday.

Amy has been a fashion model since 1996; she was taught to knit by her grandmother and has been knitting from a young age. She set up the Weardowney label with Gail Downey in 2004.

From 7.30pm, £5 per person including a pot of tea or a half of Meantime London Lager to get those fingers flowing.

For those of you who aren’t up for a bit of knitting we’re open as usual for drinks, food and we’ll be playing some of Matty’s fine tunes too.
