DOG MISSING from Marlborough Road - small, orange Pomeranian cross

4 year old, small golden/orange Pomeranian Chihuahua cross dog. Went missing from 68 Marlborough road at around 13:10 Sunday 24 June.

Call ELIZABETH on 07787 411 944 if you know anything.

REWARD for information resulting in his return.

We miss him terribly, he is a loved family pet and best friend. His cat is waiting for him so they can snuggle up together.

Please, please keep your eyes peeled.

This is a copy of the poster Elizabeth attached to her message. I hope you're re-united with him soon.

In addition to posting here, I see Elizabeth's put up a lot of posters around area. Is there any value in having a:

a) Lost and found section on this site?

b) Feature where an Administrator can send out an urgent mass email in cases of lost pets? (I think this would need to be on an opt-in basis though.)

Wouldn't it be great to have a positive use for neighbourhood crowd-sourcing rather than just for organising riots?

I've shared this on our Facebook page too. I hope he comes home soon, Elizabeth.

I have shared this on Facebook too! I hope you get him back!

I feel for you as I think I met  your dog on Bounds Green Road recently and I noticed the chihuahua resemblance as my brother has a long haired chihuahua but also noticed the Pomeranian curled-up tail.  I do so hope you find him!! I will keep a look out for sure!

So glad he's home Elizabeth but what a horrible situation for you and it's terrible that a dog-napper has extorted money from you for your beloved pet. Did you get the police involved at all? Other pet owners in the area should be made aware of this.

Hi Elizabeth
Lovely picture to illustrate a happy ending just such a shame that heartless criminals demanded money.
I agree with Lindsey about warning other local pet owners - and with your response about tagging and chipping pets.

Welcome Home Vinnie!

Glad he's home - but horrendous situation to have to be put through!

Glad he is back but that is outrageous about how you were fleeced by them - and even worse that the police can do nothing. Hope he has settled after the experience!

So glad you have him back! I did see the posters around the area.

I am also outraged that these people have been allowed to get away with this, although Elizabeth I'm sure you're just glad to have him back.

I would be tempted to have a warning on all neighbourhood forums to be on the lookout for these kind of scams if this hasn't been done already. Surely it's a criminal offence and these people should be punished, perhaps a bit of community service cleaning up street dog poo would be good for starters!

Rant over and glad you're all reunited.

H Mandy

I agree about the warning  - I'll include a note in our next update. In addition here are a couple of useful resources:

Hi Elizabeth - glad all ended well.  Just a thought for the future - you said that you didn't give out Vinnie's name for good reasons so dog-nappers couldn't have control.   However, the downloadable missing notice on this (somewhat public) site is entitled "Vinnie poster.doc".  However obviously hope Vinnie and his cat live happily ever after at 68 Marlborough Road with owners with no awful episodes again.

Caroline :-)
