That's a brilliant shot!  I went down there with my friend yesterday and loads of people were coming up and taking photographs of it.  I wonder if the Banksy will ever come back to England.

The "Tap Men" bankers visisble in this photograph are by reknowned street artist Paul "Don" Smith he talks about his work and these characters in this interview.

Seems Wood Green is now becoming a Mecca for London street art despite losing the Banksy.

Appropriate that the street name almost poses a philosophical question "Why Mark"? :-)

Lindsey, thanks for this update.  I was wondering what was going on.

I wonder if this means that the other interesting artworks that have appeared spontaneously will go?  It would be good if they could somehow be incorporated.  It's good that this might be the start of a community art project coming out of this outrageous theft of the Banksy.  At the same time though - it won't be a spontaneous street art gesture and no doubt those who hold the purse strings will have ultimate control.  I don't know what to think really....is it a good outcome?

But what is happening to Slave Labour? I guess it will be kept quietly for a while and then sold off? 

The new deal about the wall and artwork is a good gesture in many ways but I agree with Kathleen about the lack of spontaneity and really it will be a sanitised space. Cant imagine the council would sanction anything too controversial or critical of itself, for example. It will lack that spark of edginess. But appreciate the trouble certain councillors have gone to first of all to get Banksy back and also to provide something else there instead for the community.
