A Community Network for Bowes Park and Bounds Green
Hi there
We have a hideous plastic front door and would like to replace it with a Victorian style wooden door. Has anyone else done this, and do you have any recommendations for companies to use? To make it easier for ourselves, we're probably more likely to go for a new door rather than trying to source a reclaimed one.
Any tips would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Tracy

If you want to replicate doors in the area, I know of a good joiner who has done this for several people in Noel Park. I don't know how much he charges for this but he was quite reasonable when he built my kitchen cabinets and some shelving.
A friend has just had a replica Edwardian door made by GMS Joinery in Fortis Green Road N10. They did a brilliant job and it looks just like the original doors near by.
Thanks everyone for your tips - I will look through all the websites and decide from there. Much appreciated!
